Techno Tuesdays - The Room

Hi everyone!

I hope that the snow hasn’t caused too much problems for anyone. However, I did hope that there would be more snow. Nevertheless, it did give an excuse for a lazy day, in which I wrapped around in every blanket that I could find and surf the internet, I read an article which recommended the app, ‘the room’. Having been persuaded by the fact that it is the number one app in nineteen countries, I decided to purchase the app. I can now report that I’m an addicted. However one critique that I would have is that there are not enough levels! After playing it continually, I finished in less than a week. However, have since been reassured that new levels will be added in good time.

The objective of the game is to crack a complex safe, each time you solve a puzzle you delve deeper into the safe. What I like about this game, is that they don’t give you enough clues that it is simple. I would like to think that it is slightly educational, in the fact that it engages your problem solving skills. Don’t worry it isn’t impossible though, because you receive clues if you struggle with any points in the game, and I have admittedly checked the internet for a few cheats, which probably proves how much of an addict I am.

The End of the World...

Hi everyone,

So seeing as the world didn't end last year, I thought that I would make the most of the next/this year seeing as there no doubt will be predictions that this year is in fact the end of the world and the mayans got it wrong after all. So, although this is extremely belated I thought I would share my new years resolutions with you guys. 

 1. I guess my first one is basically already done, for Christmas I got a diary and my new years resolution was to be more organised, and I suppouse one way of approaching this is to keep a diary. However, I guess the real aim is to actually write in it! I can say that I have written all the important dates that are coming up this year, so i figure that's a start

2. I have always really wanted to learn a musical instrument. Although, I did learn a the piano a few years back, I have unfortunately forgotten anything taught to me. So, I have decided that I would like  (to attempt) to learn the ukulele, I have already brought one, of course this doesn't mean that I'll automatically be able to strum a chord, it is a start. I have been trying to play Noah and the whale, although this is probably one of the most basic songs. This doesn't stop me from boasting that I can in fact play a song on a ukulele!

3. I suppose the next two go hand in hand, I want to have more memories, so I want to start keeping a photo album, most pictures that I take now days get saved onto my computer and are never seen again. However, last summer I discovered lomography, which forces me to develop my pictures because they take film. Which means that I will finally be able to use my photo album which I brought so long ago and has since been sitting on my shelf gathering dust. I have been told that my camera looks like a UFO but I can assure you that, that's just the flash (looks pretty pro!) The next one relates to having more memories as well and that is keeping a memory box, I have currently got one which I put together a few years ago, but it seems to have completely random things in, some of which I don't know what are, so I guess that proves that most of the things in there aren't really that memorable to me.

Floral Couture

This perfume is crammed with floral notes, bringing it a fresh, sexy tone. The hippy bottle definitely travels back in time giving it a sixties vibe, the bottle features turquoise gems tied round the bottle beck finished off with a heart, peace charm and a bubblegum pink tassel, which contribute to making this bottle aesthetically pleasing and unmissable on the shop shelf.

This perfume isn't too heavy, so for some may be considered to be slightly reminiscent of summer. However, for me I prefer wearing light and fresh scents all year round, therefore this perfume is perfect for me. Although one of the notes appears to be musk, I for on am not keen on perfumes which are too musk heavy, moreover I find that the perfume musk in the perfume isn't too overpowering. Everything, from the design to the long lasting scent make this a wonderful perfume, which I would definitely recommend.
